I strongly caution any dental office against using Toothio, as their "simple" staffing tool is actually a trap of predatory fees and unreliable service. Between the $55–$60 hourly minimums, the 21% service fee, and the 3.4% convenience fee, a single day for a hygienist can easily cost you nearly $700—a price point where any office could hire an actual dentist instead. To make matters worse, the staff quality is a complete hit-or-miss; I’ve had temps show up who were clearly there to do nothing, yet the platform’s weak support and aggressive cancellation policies make it impossible to get a fair resolution. Between the "junk fees" and the poor clinical performance, Toothio is a massive waste of overhead that provides zero consistency for your practice

"No shifts for front desk"
I feel like this platform is only good if you are a dental assistant. There are never any shifts that come for front desk receptionists. It's really disappointing. I have been with this platform since December and only one job opportunity came along.

"Terrible communication"
Terrible experience with Toothio. Communication was disorganized, with last-minute cancellation and scheduling issues, Jon did not even have the courtesy to answer a phone call or provide someone else. Promising a temp and stating that there is a guaranteed show rate, is very unethical and unprofessional. This company clearly needs to improve its screening process to ensure the right temps are hired. Until then, I cannot recommend their services. Extremely disappointed and will tell all my colleagues to avoid at all costs.

"Good first experience"
I enjoyed it, I had my first shift recently and everything went well. Toothio is very communicative and helpful. I just wish more shifts would appear more and were available.
